ABOUT
Don't grieve alone
The D.O.L.O Foundation Inc. — short for Death of Loved Ones — was founded to make grief support and healing tools accessible to everyone, no matter their socioeconomic background. Based in Norwalk, Connecticut, the foundation exists to remind individuals and families that you are not alone in your grief.
Founded by Mellodye “Sweets” Green-Ragin after the sudden loss of her husband John “Dolo” Ragin, the foundation was born out of personal experience. In her own search for healing, Sweets discovered that while grief cannot be erased, it can be carried differently—with support, understanding, and community.
Together with her daughter, she co-authored the children’s book It Really Will Be Okay, a story inspired by their shared loss and their hope to help others find peace through honest conversation and faith. That same spirit of love and resilience is at the heart of every D.O.L.O program today.
